Full Body Massage Sequence in Swedish Massage Video
This Full Body Massage Sequence in Swedish Massage Video shows the routine that I have learned in Europe about 20 years ago.
I know there are many different styles and most of them offer a full body massage, but this is I would say the most basic one, the one that most of beginners learn first.
To be honest I don't see a specific logic in it, but that's just my opinion.
I would understand to open the upper body before the lower body, to make it possible that waste material get exposed properly. But for some reason swedish massage does that only on the back, but not on the front.
From an energetic point of view it is also not consistent. It is good to work down the back (as Chi flows downwards on the back of the body) and then work up the front (as Chi flows upwards on the front of the body. But then you do the front and back of the arms at the same time. That would short circuit the energy flow. There are other details that do not support this sequence from an energetic point of view, but it is a little bit more complicated.
Anyway for a general massage for wellbeing and relaxation, this massage sequence works fine.
