Massage Therapy for Laymen
I have received emails from a few different people around the world, who were very happy about the fact that www.Free-Massage-Videos.com is offering free advice and techniques in a way that everybody can easily understand.
People were complaining about the fact that many therapist use all these latin words and have a hard time to actually bring across the actual essence of massage.
I have been thoroughly trained in massage therapy, medicine and exercise physiology, but unless I am reading medical studies or am talking to a physician or a fellow massage therapist about specific treatment options, there is no need to dwell in a sea of technical terms or anatomical names.
My experience is that the essence of massage is touch. It is the connection between two people and exchange of trust and responsibility. "Ok, I let you touch me."
And closely connected to the touch is your ability to listen to the body of the other person and to what the person is telling you. This will guide your touch to possibly create healing of some sort.
Free-Massage-Videos.com puts a lot of effort to give you just the basics and the confidence that you can do it. I've seen many people learn to massage and learn to love massage, because it was not something abstract, or something erotic, no because it was a way to communicate and care for other people.
I encourage people to learn simple massage techniques, no to become a great therapist, but to be able to do something nice for others.
One of my clients used to say: "Better a bad massage than no massage."
This is an important message and shows how massage therapy can be good for all of us.
