Water Massage Video
Water massage is sometimes also called aqua massage and hydro massage, but does everybody mean the same thing by using those terms?
When I looked around there seem to be various different application for water massage. Traditionally water massage used to be applied with the help of hoses and shower heads, as you will see in the video below.
Most of the applications nowadays though are in connection with some high tech machines, that either look like tanning beds for wet application or like massage tables for what is call "dry" water massage bed applications. For more information and videos click on water massage machines and water massage beds.
Water massage can be seen as part of the hydrotherapy, which means the external or internal use of water for therapeutic reasons.
Water is an excellent purifier, which many people call now a decrease in positive ion and a supply of negative ions. The energy that you feel close to a large water fall or at the beach are negative ion, that are promoting wellness. An overcharge with positive ions due to stress, electrical devices, computers, TVs etc can lower the strength of your immune system and therefore make you more prone for getting sick.
Believe it or not, but many ancient cultures and healing traditions have successfully used the power of water. I like the idea of using water, but other than in the shower or tub it is not really workable at home. I think a Jacuzzi or whirl pool is probably the best known and convenient application of water massage. There are even now some products that you can just put in your tub and turn it into a hot tub.
